An online board game to play with your friends
Gran Avenida is a classic-style board game where you buy streets, build houses and hotels and collect rent, but online: everyone plays on their own phone or computer, for free and without downloading anything. Perfect for a game night over a video call, or a quick game with your group of friends.

Why it works for groups
- Nothing to install
- You play in the browser. Nobody has to download an app or create an account.
- 2 to 6 players
- And if you're short of players, the host adds bots with one tap.
- Any device
- Phones, tablets and computers, mixed in the same room.
- One link
- Invite people with a link or a 5-letter code.
- Free
- No payments and no sign-up.
How to set up the game in a minute
- One of you opens Gran Avenida, types their name, picks a token and taps “Create private game”. That player is the host.
- Tap “Invite friends”: on a phone, the share menu opens so you can send the link on WhatsApp, Telegram or wherever you like; on a computer, the link is copied.
- Each friend opens the link, types their name, picks a token and taps “I'm ready!”.
- The host adjusts the rules if they want and taps “Start game”.
Can't open the link? Open the website, tap “Join with a code” and type the 5 letters shown in the room.
Ideas for a great game night
- Talk over a video call. The room has a text chat, but negotiating is much more fun out loud: start a WhatsApp, Discord or Google Meet call and play in another tab or on another device.
- Short games. With a 15-round limit, the game doesn't drag on and everyone still has a shot at the end, because the richest player wins.
- House rules. Turn on the tax jackpot on Free Plaza or the double salary for landing on Start for games with more money and more surprises.
- Time per move. If someone takes too long to decide, set a clock of 45 or 90 seconds per decision.
- A league with your friends. Play several games in a row and keep score: when a game ends, the host can start a rematch in the same room.
- Practice first. Anyone new to the game can play against bots to learn, offline and without waiting for anyone.

For the whole family
It's a game of numbers, negotiation and a bit of luck, and it's fine for families. The game's money has no real value. If there are children under 14, they should play online with their parents' permission; practicing against bots doesn't connect them with anyone.
Frequently asked questions
Can we talk while we play?
Each room has a text chat. To talk out loud, the easiest thing is to start a video call or a voice group at the same time (WhatsApp, Discord, Google Meet…) and play in another tab or on another device.
Can some of us play on phones and others on computers?
Yes. Each player joins from their own device and browser, and phones, tablets and computers can be mixed in the same room.
Can we play with friends who live in another city or country?
Yes. Everyone just needs an internet connection and the room link; you don't have to be on the same network.
What happens if someone leaves in the middle of the game?
If their connection drops, an autopilot plays for them until they come back by reloading the page. If they quit the game, they go bankrupt and their properties go back on sale.
What if there are only two of us, or more than six?
Two players works perfectly well, and the host can add bots to liven things up. The maximum is six per room; if there are more of you, open two rooms or play in pairs, sharing a device.
How do we play a short game?
Before starting, the host taps “Change rules” and picks a 15-round limit. When it's reached, the player with the highest net worth wins, so everyone keeps playing until the very last turn.
